If ever you should leave me…
An open letter from a father to his cherished child…
Sometimes, you simply do not know what to do; which fork in the road…what direction…who am I, really! And does it matter anyway. Besides; it’s only one life…one child among many.
The journey through life has been filled with hardship, difficulty and defeat, “Oh, that death could come quickly and end it.”
You have decided to leave your father’s house, but why? What Answers do you seek from another? What love is there apart from me? In leaving, will you forget even my name? Your brother’s name? Will you call another, “My father, “and another “My brother?”
Only the pathway to my house, your home, leads to melody of hearts and life everlasting in our family.
However, go if you must. I ask only that you remember my “name” and the “sign between us that marks you as my cherished and treasured child…our special time together of family gathering and celebration each week.
Those times will remind you of our future together in the wonderful world tomorrow.
Take my special guidance’s to our home with you so you can find your way back…I will wait patiently for your return.
On your travels, seek understanding through what you do along the way and it will be given to you. Only remember to ask in your brother’s name.
Each day I will come to you. Even though you may forget me, I will never forget you. I will carry you through dangerous times as a loving father protects his cherished child in his time of need.
Well, go now if you must. Always remember that I will never leave you nor forsake you. No matter what happens, or what you may do, there will forever be a place for you in you father’s house.
Oh, just one more thing before you leave. The world out there is a place that is deep and dark and things are not as they seem. So, take this note with you and place it in your things in case of accident or other tragedy.
It says to anyone who may find you long the road that you are my begotten, cherished child and to please help you in any need and send the bill to me for payment.
I have enclosed my name and that of your elder brother so that we may always be found for your return. As each day passes, we will only love you the more.
I await your return…
You father "Yah"…
